This quirky little Dodgy Doggy Kangaroo is a hand inscribed drypoint plate*. The plate is gorgeously ink-stained after being printed by hand in my etching press.
This is the expression on our puppy’s face when he’s politely asking for something he really wants… all arms, legs and ears, like a funny little kangaroo 🙂
*Original artwork. (Not a digital print.)

This quirky little Dodgy Doggy Kangaroo is the original hand inscribed drypoint plate. It is gorgeous as a mounted artwork, which means no further prints can be pulled from it 🙂
(Such a printmakerly thing to do… frame your plate so it can’t be printed anymore!)
My Dodgy Doggy prints are made in class, showing people how fun (and easy) it is to print by hand. With only a few tools, you can set up on your kitchen table for hours of fun. I usually make a dodgy doodle drawing of our puppy (Toby the Tenterfield Terror) or a pony (for my Dad, who has a little wild brumby), to demonstrate how easy it is. Often the puppies look more like kangaroos and rabbits (not unlike Toby himself) and the ponies become unicorns... Which is a bit like life really 🙂
